AI product owner, former founder, unapologetically self-taught on the technical side.
I started out selling software, which is the best school for understanding that a product is only worth the problem it solves. I moved to the product side at SGS, where I learned to model a process before trying to automate it, then co-founded YVEA — an export-compliance automation startup where I owned the product from the first requirements document through to product-market fit.
Today I am a Senior Consultant at Twelve Consulting, on assignment at Rothschild & Co, working on a generative AI assistant running in production for private banking and asset management teams. It is a demanding setting: regulated, sensitive, with no room for approximation. Exactly the kind of place where you discover that the hard part of an AI product is almost never the model.
Alongside that, I am teaching myself Python and agent orchestration. Not to become an engineer, but because a product owner who understands what they are asking for makes better calls, estimates more honestly, and defends their engineering team better.
